DNP, Nihon Unisys and Pioneer VC Collaborate on Developing a Disaster Emergency Response System
Timely and accurate collection and transmission of information during disasters

Natural disasters that have been occurring with increasing frequency in recent years, and it is extremely important gaining a timely understanding of disaster information, and performing appropriate transmission of that information to the affected areas.
In answer to these needs, Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP), Nihon Unisys, Ltd. and Pioneer VC Corporation have jointly developed a Disaster Emergency Response System. The new system achieves the effective transmission and reception of disaster information, and anticipates provision of such information to administrative and public bodies.

The Disaster Emergency Response System provides widespread support from the gathering and organizing of information necessary for emergency disaster responses, such as disaster conditions, staff mobilization conditions, and the operational status of evacuation centers to discussion of emergency countermeasures, to the use of digital signage based information transmission to each base. As a result, it is now possible to perform timely and accurate information exchanges in the period immediately in the aftermath of a disaster, when information is at its most confused, implement appropriate judgments in a timely manner, and relay the necessary information to the general public. This system can also be effectively used in meetings, and as digital signage to transmit a variety of contents during normal periods.

DNP will engage in the development and provision of a variety of products and services that contribute to disaster prevention and reduction, and will contribute to the realization of a society where people can live safely and in comfort.
