The 73rd Exhibition Seymour Chwast Pointed Metal Sculpture May 6-30 ,1992

Since a few years ago, I have been producing metal sculptures. Metal does not have the strength of stone nor the graceful characteristics of wood. Easy-to-handle metal is the best medium for me to sarcastically express the superficial pride of wealth and power. Fortunately, a computer that can create sculptures has not invented yet. That is why I continue to make sculptures which can hold the breath of man. It may be the illusion of a moment when a designer steeped in capitalism can live like a human being.
