The 120th Exhibition Contemporary Graphics in Hungary DOPP Ducki Krzysztof/Orosz István/Pinczehelyi Sándor/Pócs Péter May 8-30 ,1996

Hungary is a small country surrounded by land. For many centuries, it has continued to fight for its independence and dignity. It holds a common culture with Austria and Germany and has established its own arts and literature. In the 1970, the communist system began to collapse in the European countries and a liberal cultural state of affairs came into existence. During the latter half of the 1980s, a fight for a new freedom began and here, the great power and value of posters became the focal point. Four artists: Ducki, Orosz, Pinczehelyi and Pócs formed the DOPP group and created anti-establishment posters. These posters were seen all over the city of Budapest and they exerted an amazing amount of energy in the fight against the old ideology. The fresh ideas of the DOPP with thier detailed and concise messages strongly moved the heart of the young people.
