The 148th Exhibition Graphic Wave 1998 Tatsuo Ebina/Keiko Hirano/Ken Miki September 1(Tue.) - 26(Sat.),1998

This is the third Graphic Wave. This time Tatsuo Ebina, Keiko Hirano and Ken Miki were nominated. A common theme was not chosen. Each chose what they wanted to express now. Ebina chose "The Realities and the Ideal" , Hirano had "Postcards/A Study of Light/White and Black," and I took "Life's Communication" as my theme. After the exhibition, what came to mind was what Kijyuro Yahagi said in the preface to the Graphic Wave 3 book, "Passing through the diaphanous film, that border from one dimension into the next, all hangs on one's resolve: to self-destruct or not." Were we able to get through to the next dimension? Or did we wander into an unseen maze. In any case, each must have realized something through this exhibition.
