The 161st Exhibition FUSE Posters and Fonts October 1(Fri.) - 26(Tue.),1999

One floppy disk with four kinds of experimental fonts by four designers and four posters of those fonts were put in a carton box as a package with just some sealing tape. This was the typographic experimental medium, "FUSE," that Neville Brody launched in 1922. It was the latest in the basics for electronic media in the 90's. Most importantly, "FUSE" showed that designers could be content publishers. It was the beginning of an exploration of a new relationship with society(not just receiving orders but doing things more intentionally). The exciting works collected over 10 years by 74 of the world's most radical typographers showed the computer-generated revolution and dawning of a new age in design in the '90s because of computers through the perspective of typography.
