The 189th Exhibition Akira Uno February 5(Tue.) - 28(Thur.),2002

As discussions continued with the ggg staff, it was decided that, for the first floor, we would try to magnify illustrations that take up more than half of my average week as much as EPSON's reprint technology (PiezoGraph) would allow and, in the basement, have the opposite by exhibiting postcard-sized originals. The work at Shinjuku EPSON was very exciting. The partial samples being output before one's eyes can actually be corrected. For an illustration I drew for a weekly magazine historical novel, I had the tones of a dark portion in the middle radically killed and had only the matière of the light portion made prominent. A B5 (257×182mm) sized original became B0 (1,456×1,030mm) sized. When they were able to output it with a certain design effect, I was really impressed.
