No common theme was decided on for the three. Each created in his own way. Mr. Sano visualized pun-like contents called "False, FONT." Ms. Noda created dresses (with Theater Products). There was a "Funeral Dress," a "Wedding Dress" and a "Party Dress." She also had a poster and a film. I had a poster series with potatoes as their motif entitled "My Life as a Potato." The entirely different works of the three of us lined the space on the first floor of the gallery. In the basement, our previous works were exhibited. We who have overcome the various issues presented by reality and have had some role to play in society are accordingly persuasive regardless of the success of our works. In contrast, I wonder how the new works on the first floor which we freely created for this exhibition appeared. They made me think again about the meaning of having designers show new works at an exhibition.
