Max Huber, a Milan-based Swiss designer and 20th-century leader in the world
of graphic design, created outstanding graphic designs for many famous Italian
enterprises including La Rinascente, Olivetti, and Borsalino.
The 276th exhibition focuses on Huber as a commercial graphic designer who
masterfully infused his avant-garde sensitivities with commercial design. Huber's
works, which are highly praised even today, include Monza Race Track posters,
cover designs for magazine and book publications by Enaudi and Etas, innovative
logo designs for La Rinascente and Esselunga that have greatly influenced the
cityscape of Milan , and joint work with his close friend Achille Castiglioni
for an international trade fair. This exhibition will provide visitors an introduction
to the world of Huber's works.
Additionally, the book Max Huber (volume 89 in the gggBooks series)
will be released to coincide with this exhibition. |
