Activities |
| The exhibition begins with a group of masterpieces painted in western style, or the Akita School of Ranga, by a lord of the Akita clan and his vassals. In order to follow the current trends in modern and present-day thought in fine art, our collection of fine works concentrates mostly on the post-modern era, such as the Akita School of Ranga. In cooperation with the museum volunteer group(AMC), we hold various lectures, seminars and workshops. |

Purpose |
| The Slope Gallery is a round gallery inside the exhibition hall,you can enjoy both the panoramic view of the countryside and the exhibits as well. The front and central gardens provide an exquisite exhibition area and takes advantage of the natural terrain and luxuriant greenery. The role of the museum is to present the different aspects of art, and its variety of expressions to the public. The Akita Museumk of Modern Art lies on a beautiful hillside in the Akita Furusato Village. The Museum has 7 galleries, including the "High-Vision" video display gallery and an outdoor sculpture garden. Come experience the world of creation in a beautiful natural setting. |
