Yoshitaka MOURI

At Whitechapel, an exhibition of the new works by Tony Cragg, the representative English sculptor born in 1949, is being held. Regarded as the legitimate successor to Henry Moore, Cragg's sculpture strongly focuses on material and texture. His works using everyday items such as empty cans and dice, and objects made of furniture with innumerable nails beaten into them, as if driven by an obsession, were much more gigantic than imagined, giving us a strange feeling of scale.
