Activities |
| Takaoka Art Museum carries out a wide range of activities such as large scale, high quality special exhibitions, valuable both nationally and internationally. And Museum collects and exhibits local traditional arts and crafts. It also places importance on local metal crafts and modern metal works of art related to the former. In response to the various citizens' needs, the museu also offers a wide array of information on art through high definition television programs, lectures, workshops and so on. Especially the high definition video theater of the museum thus suits today's information-centered society and makes visitors accessible to fine art by large and high quality images. |

Purpose |
| Takaoka Art Museum was opend in September, 1994. Museum aims to be truly opend to the public; to be receptive to both the traditional and the modern style of art; to be appropriate to Takaoka's history & milieu; and to play a vital role in enhancing art and culture prodouced by citizens. Museum lies in "Takaoka Cultural Park", and museum has "The Tower of Light and Water" as a symbol of the Park. |
