Selected for Inclusion in 2019 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI)
The Bloomberg Gender Equality Index, created by NY-based Bloomberg L.P., assesses awareness and transparency regarding the level of social engagement and governance of companies from the standpoint on gender equality.
Outstanding companies have been selected based on their commitment to establishing gender-equal working environments, information disclosure stances, performance and policies.
DNP's inclusion in SRI indices as of September 2018
An SRI index is a stock index comprised of shares in corporations that consider their responsibilities to society.
A company's stock being selected for inclusion in an SRI index is evidence that the company is viewed as both enjoying a high degree of social trust and being in a sound financial position.
DNP works to solve social issues, and is included in the world's major socially responsible investment (SRI) indices.

FTSE Russell, a wholly owned subsidiary of London Stock Exchange Group, evaluates companies from around the world and selects the shares of those that excel in terms of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance for inclusion in this index.

US-based MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital Investment) Inc. offers indices that are constructed by selecting companies with excellent ESG profiles from among the top 500 corporations in terms of market capitalization.
An investment universe operated by Forum ETHIBEL, a Belgian nonprofit organization. ETHIBEL selects companies with strong performance from the standpoint of corporate social responsibility.
Morningstar Socially Responsible Investment Stock Index
Morningstar Japan K.K. provides financial and economic information on a global scale, including issuing a stock newspaper called The Kabushiki Shimbun.
Morningstar evaluates the extent to which Japanese companies take a proactive stance towards ESG and human resource utilization.
Selected for inclusion in all three of the ESG indices selected by Japan's Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF)
GPIF is an incorporated administrative agency that manages Japanese government pension funds and constitutes the world's largest pool of public retirement savings.
A comprehensive index that considers every aspect of ESG, this index was designed to measure the performance of Japanese companies that are doing an excellent job of responding to ESG-related concerns.
It included 155 companies as of June 2018.
This index consists of companies selected for outstanding ESG performance from among the constituents of the MSCI Japan IMI Top 500 Index.
It had 251 constituent companies as of June 2018.
MSCI constructed this index by calculating various types of gender diversity scores based on female employment data disclosed in line with the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace. The scores are calculated for MSCI Japan IMI Top 500 Index constituents, and the companies with the best scores in each industry group are selected for inclusion in the index.
This index included 215 companies as of June 2018.
Major forms of recognition of DNP's sustainability-related activities
|February 2017||"DNP Lighting Film," which brightens interior spaces by effectively reflecting and diffusing sunlight, was awarded the 26th Grand Prize for Global Environment Award, Japan Business Federation Chairman's Prize.|
|December 2016||Japan Productivity Headquarters awarded DNP its Grand Prize in the "9th Work-Life Balance Award" in recognition of relevant DNP initiatives, such as efforts to change working styles and to support employees' career-building.|
Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry included DNP in its 2014 "Diversity Management Selection 100" in recognition of initiatives such as policies promoting women in the workplace, and working style reforms that add value to work by making effective use of time as a resource.
