DNP Establishes BPO Centers in Tokyo and Sendai, Brings Domestic Total to Five

Now possible to process more than 20 million documents per year

Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) is pleased to announce the establishment of two more Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) centers in Tokyo and Sendai, boosting the total number of domestic centers to five.

As a result of this expansion in the ability to deputize for the acceptance of a variety of business forms, it will now be possible for the Company to double processing capabilities and handle 20 million documents per year.

We expect to see a progressively increase in the need for companies to process various applications and forms while managing company and client personal information in a safe and appropriate manner. For example, in December 2015, in line with the introduction of compulsory stress checks for employees at businesses with more than 50 employees, companies now face the need to process large volumes of stress check sheets. And following the January 2016 commencement of full scale operation for the Social Security and Tax Number System, companies are now obliged to collect employee Social Security and Tax numbers, manage these as Specific Personal Information, and enter them on tax certificate slips. Elsewhere, as a result of the liberalization of retail electricity sales in 2016, and liberalization of retail gas sales from 2017, application processing of documentation connected with the switching of energy suppliers is expected to rise. In order to respond to this operational expansion, it is necessary to provide a highly secure information security system, and enhance capabilities for dealing with high volume processing. In answer to such needs, DNP aims to capitalize on the know-how developed through the manufacturing and personalization of smart cards, such as credit cards and cash cards, along with the printing of personalized bills and usage details. The Company will provide a BPO service that takes custody of critical information from numerous companies and organizations, and deputizes for the company and/or organization in a safe and secure manner. In this latest development, the Company has newly established two centers and strengthened BPO systems against the backdrop of increased demand.
