Mobile wallet Adopted by Tressa Yokohama, a Large-Scale Commercial Complex

Toyota Automall Development Corporation (TAC), Toyota Finance Corporation (TFC), JCB Co., Ltd. (JCB) and Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd (DNP) are pleased to announce the summer 2014 launch of the Tressa Wallet Application Service at Tressa Yokohama, a large-scale commercial complex operated by TAC in Yokohama. The Tressa Wallet Application Service is a mobile wallet smart-phone application which allows users to perform unitary management of information on special offers, coupons and service points.

Consumers visiting Tressa Yokohama can take advantage of a unique prepaid type e-money system called Tressa Money. TAC and TFC have issued the Tressa Style Card that includes settlement functions and service point card functions for use with Tressa Money. Tressa Style Card Plus is also available, having postpaid type e-money settlement service QUICPayTM as an additional function. The members of these two cards exceed 100,000 people.

TAC and TFC are introducing the mobile wallet service application* offered by JCB and DNP, and will expand functions and services, such as service points, discounts and privileges along with settlement features on a sequential basis.

In addition to improving customer convenience and expanding services, the launch of the mobile wallet at Tressa Yokohama both coincides with, and the realization of, the aims of TAC and TFC in looking to promote sales and improve operational efficiency, as well as those of JCB and DNP, which are looking to develop and promote new services for companies using smart phones that have spread rapidly around the globe.

In addition to improving convenience and expanding services to our customers, through these activities, TAC, TFC, JCB and DNP aim to achieve new service models using the mobile wallet, and will make further studies.

 
* The mobile wallet type service performs unitary management of a variety of functions, such as settlements (credit and prepaid,) service points and coupons that simulate a wallet appearance via an application. In developing a unique mobile wallet type service, JCB used a DNP-developed platform service that supports the unitary management of various applications and related operations.
